| Name: Mindy Nickname: None Age: One year and four months Breed: Grey Wolf Gender: Female Appearance: Mindy is a very sturdy, solid yearling. Considered to be quite big for a female grey, weighing 118lbs. to 120lbs. She often times doesn't realize how big she is. Her coat ranges in color, from a very rich chocolate brown, to the darkest shade of black, depending on the season. In winter her coat doubles in thickness, leaving her with a very soft, downy undercoat and smooth, rough guard hairs. Her eye color contains shades of pale yellow to amber and are never too serious. Mindy's tail is rather long and bushy. The only visible flaw she has is a missing outer toe on her back, left paw. Personality: Mindy is a very timid, agreeable she-wolf. Dominating other wolves isn't something she enjoys doing and would rather play or observe her environment. Since she is so passive, when she encounters more dominant wolves she remains loyal to them. She understands that being the quiet, goofy femme has it's cons, so having a strong, willful wolf around can be helpful. Often times she can be found frolicking around, chasing insects or near impossible to catch prey. In the eyes of other wolves she would probably be seen as naive or ditzy, which she is at times, but she is also caring, smart, protective and observant. Mindy is a good judge of character and has become rather skilled at catching small rodents. Family: Alive but remain in another territory. Mate: None Offspring: None History: Mindy was born into a very virile, successful pack. Her parents were the alphas and birthed over 40 pups in their lifetime. Being the youngest and the only female of the last litter, she really lived a very care-free, drama free puppy hood. Her parents were nine years and seven years old when she reached her eighth month, so their reign as alphas was soon ending. By the time she turned a year, both parents, along with a few of her brothers, were cast out of the pack. The new alpha pair had come along with a group of younger males and brought chaos with them. It wasn't a shock when Mindy became one of the lower wolves on the totem pole but she wasn't mentally prepared for the constant nips, snarls and bullying from the other pack members. Having learned enough about hunting to get by on her own, she gradually made her way out of the territory. Sample RP Post:Behind a large boulder in the clearing, Mindy crouched, paws brought in close under her belly. Her pale eyes were focused intently on a hare about six feet ahead of her. The wind stung her damp nose as she sniffed the air. She was downwind of the hare, masking her scent just right. Oblivious to Mindy's presence, the hare continued to nibble on foliage in it's grasp. Without warning, Mindy quickly sprang forward, stretching her well muscled legs out in front of her and began a full out sprint towards the hare. The clearing wasn't the best place to hunt small animals, with all the open space and so the hare caught sight of the she-wolf soon enough. Turning swiftly away from Mindy, the hare leaped away with all of the speed a small agile animal could muster. By this time the femme knew she was beat but the chase was still fun, so she continued on a few more feet until the hare escaped in a thick patch of underbrush. In the back of her mind the big female knew she couldn't catch such a small animal in an open space. A small grin appeared on her panting muzzle as she plopped heavily on the ground. Her sides heaved from such a quick sprint as she shook out her thickening ruff. A yawn escaped her before closing her mouth with an audible snap. Her lids became heavy while she gazed out at the small stream she could hear more than see, yards away. Before finally settling down for a nap, she rolled onto her back, front legs extended straight up into the air while she wiggled from side to side, as if to scratch an annoying itch in the center of her back. "Mmm..that feels good. Nothing like a roll in the dirt after a waste of energy."Other wolves played on this site: None Other: Would like to be a member of the Lakota Rivers Pack | |
