Lcuk lapped up the cool water that flowed down the creek. He stood in the shade, the sun reflecting off the shiny rocks. He was bored and looking for something to do, but couldn't think of anything. He pawed at the water, sending rocks into the water. They were then taken by the small current and brought downstream. Lcuk's black pelt was like an oven in this heat, the shade his only escape. The water wasn't to deep here, just above his ankles. He waded in and splashed his fur, attempting to cool down.

Lcuk had just climbed out of the stream when he shook the water from his pelt. He wasn't exactly cooled down, but he wasn't as hot as he had been before he waded into the water. He'd been about to trot off when the sound of a snarl reached his ears. He snapped towards the sound. It had came from up river where a female stood, water dripping from her muzzle. He glared back at her. As far as he knew, this land wasn't claimed by anyone. She had no right to try to scare him off. "What you snarling for? Someone had a tough day?" He growled to the she-wolf, his voice laced heavily with sarcasm. As if he actually cared how this females day went, he didn't care about anyone but himself.

Lcuk glared at the she-wolf. "Why should i tell you my name when you have yet to tell me yours?" Was all he said. He bent back down to take a drink from the creek. The water was clear and fresh. Delicious. He looked back up to see the female still gazing at him, her expression cold. He rolled his eyes. "Yes i am aware of that packs lines, but i have not crossed them yet have i?" He looked at her, his eyes teasing and his mouth in a grin. He was quite charming indeed, even if he wasn't trying to be. Like right now, he was just being a smart ass. He wanted so see how many buttons he could push before this wolf went loco on him.

Lcuk tilted his head, eyeing the fae. She sure was a nice sight. Lcuk laughed in spite of himself. From how this female held her body, she was used to being in charge. All knowing and powerful. Much like himself. Except thats where they weren't the same. He was power and strong. One of the largest wolves on the planet with muscles that were trained to kill. He definately knew how to use them too. But something about this girl made him think he shouldn't attack her, not yet anyways. She may be a good ally in time to come. "What's your name?" Lcuk asked her. His voice was like honey, a sweet treat.

Rain gazed at the two wolves, both obviously tense, and wondered whether to approach. Neither seemed very friendly, and it became more obvious with every word they spoke to each other. She knew the wouldn't see her unless she approached because she was a decent distance away and downwind but she was still on edge. Her sharp green eyes caught every move they made, large or slight. She gazed longingly at the creek in front of her, licking her parched lips. "Screw it." she growled, padding her way down to the creek. She made her footsteps quiet, but had no intention of hiding. Slipped over a log and to the shore, dipping her muzzle into the icy cold water. It had been a while sense she had gotten a drink, and she savored the crisp taste as the slight current rolled over her nose. She looked up, blinking at the two wolves that were now very aware of her presence. Her fur was gently blown by the wind that had picked up, blowing towards her.

Lcuk chuckled, shaking his head. Play time over so soon? He thought to himself. He was really starting to enjoy the fae and her comebacks. But it was obvious she had grown bored very quickly. Pity. Lcuk's ears perked when she mentioned him trying for a fight. He wasn't really trying to, but it would have made things more interesting. So he just shrugged it a Have it your Way type of style. "Lcuk. You?" He looked up as a wolf appeared down stream. He was meeting all sorts of people today. He barked, the wind carring the sound till it reached the fae's ears. Perhaps this wolf would accept his invitation and come over. Lcuk looked back over to the nearer fae, his expression complete with a smirk. He wasn't even trying to impress this fae, although she apparently thought so.

Rain flicked her ears, gazing calmly at the male. He obviously wanted her to approach, but who knew why. She lept over the creek, paws splashing in the shallow water close to the shore. She padded up the pebbly bank, shaking the water that had splashed onto her dark fur. She made her way down the creek toward the two, cautious. She wasn't sure she could trust these hostile wolves. Though, the male did seem to have calmed a bit. He gave off an air of suffocating confidence that made her lip twitch in a small snarl of irritation. "Greetings." she said politely, sitting on her haunches. Though her demeanor was relaxed, her sharp green eyes watched them warily.

Lcuk grinned when the female came closer. she looked at him oddly, probably already guessing he was an ass. Lcuk laughed, of course he was! It was much to fun to stop. "Glad you could join us." He swished his tail back and forth behind him, glaring slightly. He was tired of these games the other fae was playing. So with this one, he got right to it. "I'm looking for a pack that may accept me. Know of one?" He looked at the fae who had just recently joined them, directing his question towards her. he knew the other fae had already spoken of a pack, but if she belonged to it he doubted she would show him the way. "Where are my manners, I'm Lcuk. You are?" He smiled at the fae, Rain. Of course it was a fake smile, he hardly ever truely smiled. It just didn't happen since the accident...

"Who would accept your sorry rear?" A voice drawled lazily from the shadows of the trees. A slim form appeared from a gathering of rocks, the fae's pelt an array of hues of grey that ranged to being dark enough to be black, to white that ran along her bellie and under her slender throat.

The fae's orbs were a dark brown that was almost black and pierced into those she looked at as though she could see into their souls. Her movements were swift and languid as she sauntered past the others to the creek. Her regal head was held high, expressing her confidence.

Lowering her head she drank, obviously not worried about the others. She was a powerful and sly wolf, and she knew how to use her fangs well. Never before had she tasted defeat in her years from living as a loner, and she expected no less of herself.
